- After another off-color remark I can no longer contain my fury and furtively tell him that he is ignorant
- Roommate: (angry, defensive white male voice) I don't understand why you have to advocate for every other race?
- Me: Why not? What if that were mine?
- Roommate: (shocked silence)
- Me: You're so idiotic you don't know people can be multi-racial?
- Roommate: (turning red) I'm not ignorant. Or an idiot. I do a LOT to help other people in worse situations.
- Me: But God forbid you own up to the racism you keep in your head.
