Fun fact: the U.S were the ones who provided the people of the Helmand province with advanced irrigation methods and helped them develop saline farming techniques. They are also attributed with ‘settling’ pastoral nomadic tribes into the Helmand province. Not to mention, gave the Taliban guns to fight against the Soviets. History sure has its way of coming around. Afghani people are some of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen/met, in my opinion.  Considering my fiance is, indeed.
